Errata

 

All books contain some errors, and Dark Mission is no exception. The following is a list of known errors in “Dark Mission – The Secret History of NASA.” Please send notice of any other errors you find to mikebara@darkmission.net and we will post them here. All errors will be corrected in the revised edition of Dark Mission.

PG. 4 - First Paragraph - "New Jersey" should be "New Hampshire."

 

PG. 11 - Figures shown as "ν2, ν3, ν5" should be :√2, √3, √5."

 

PG. 30 - Bottom of page, "[Fig. 2-5]" should be "[Fig. 2-3]."

 

PG. 35 - "rouge experimentalists" sure should be "rogue experimentalists."

 

PG. 60 - 2nd line from bottom of italic section should be a space between "mankind" and "wishes."

 

PG. 61 - first paragraph, first sentence: "to entire galaxies stars" should read "to entire galaxies".

 

PG. 75 - third paragraph, last sentence: "First Lady of United States" should read "First Lady of the United States".

PG. 76 - 3rd line from top, last word  should be "mere" instead of "sheer"

 

PG. 89 - First Paragraph, last two sentences. Missing period after the word "network".

 

PG. 108 - last paragraph, last sentence: "the price that that the country" should read "the price that the country".

 

PG. 113 - First paragraph. "artound 1990" should read "around 1990."

 

PG. 145 - fourth paragraph, second sentence: "Johnston had began to" should read "Johnston had begun to".

 

PG. 185 - Fig 4-15 is missing the caption. Should read: Apollo 10 frame AS-10-32-4819, showing different view of highly rectilinear “LA” features, located adjacent to Ukert Crater (frame center, far left).

 

Pg. 208 - several times:  "helical rising" should be “heliacal rising"? 

 

PG. 216 - second paragraph, last sentence: "of Visual Observationsand Photography" should read "Observations and Photography".

 

PG. 232 - 4th paragraph, fifth line - "the his" should be "his."

 

PG. 242 - second paragraph, first sentence: "pre-Brookings Brookings Policy" should read "pre-Brookings Policy".
 

PG. 250 - Fourth paragraph, first sentence. Should read: "where p is the number of sides (edges) of each face and q is the..."

 

PG. 251 - Second paragraph, first sentence: "...in NASA-perhaps with a actual ancient knowledge..." "a" should be "an."

 

PG. 269 - Fig. 5-8 - Caption misspelling: "alvignment" should be "alignment."

 

Color Figure 7 - "AS12-46-8607" should be "AS12-46-6807".

 

Color figure 23 caption reads "Lane" instead of "Laney."

 

Color Fig 26B - Caption reads "For Left:" should read "Far left:"

 

PG. 316 - last paragraph, last sentence: "rabidly" should read "rapidly".

 

PG. 316 - last paragraph, last sentence, last word: the footnote "111" is printed too large.

 

PG. 330 - Fig 7-9 - "honeycomb structure" should be two words, not one.

 

PG. 340 - Paragraph starting with "Because", 4th line up from bottom, 3rd word from end, it should be "in its" instead of "it its"

 

PG. 360 - second paragraph, second sentence: "from the those locations" should read "from those locations".

 

PG 504 - Fig. 12-11 has wrong caption. Should read: Composite of two video panned frames, showing TV camera view of Nansen from “up slope” (looking down on Valley, and north). The “shelf” is the ridge running through the center of the image. No publicly released Apollo views exist of the shadowed interior of Nansen -- in any orbital or surface Taurus-Littrow imagery (NASA).
